• Our fighter verse this week has significant implications for how we read and interpret the Bible. Jesus is claiming that the entire Old Testament (Moses and the Prophets) point to him. That means it’s not just specific prophecies that look ahead to the Messiah, but the warnings, the commands, the stories, and the promises as well.

  • Jesus is being challenged over and over again by the religious leaders of his day. But his responses teach us much about his deity, his ministry, and the nature of salvation. This week we also learn about the nature of the word of God and how much Jesus trusts it.

  • This week we will be meeting together once again to worship our great God. Like I wrote about in last week’s blog, we will be meeting together to feast and we will consider once again how to stir up one another to love and good works. As we prepare to do that this week I would like to discuss something that has become a bit of a renewed trend with worship music.
