About the DivorceCare Ministry
DivorceCare (adults), The Big D (teens), and DC4K (kids), are support groups led by people who have been through the pain of divorce in their lives. They are warm, caring environments that can help you or your child in this difficult season of life.
When to begin:
DivorceCare support groups run on a 13-week cycle with a different session every week. You are welcome to begin attending a DivorceCare group at any point. Each session is "self-contained," and you can continue through the next 13-week cycle to pick up the remaining sessions.
What to Expect:
Dynamic and information-packed videos featuring top divorce recovery experts.
Small group discussion about the video content and the issues faced by individual group members.
Journaling and personal study exercises that reinforce each session's topic
DivorceCare for Kids is designed for children ages 5-12. DC4k is a special group to help children heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. At our weekly DC4K group, kids make friends with other kids who understand how they feel and the things they are going through because of the divorce of their parents. Best of all, children will learn how God's love can strengthen them and help them turn towards hope and joy!
Each session combines the following:
The Big D (teens)
The Big D helps teens identify and find strength to accept and heal from the various hurts and confusion a divorce can cause. It begins with denial, pushes through anger issues, and ends with the freedom to understand and experience true forgiveness. We will go through the workbook - The Big D: Divorce Thru the Eyes of a Teen Student.
