• Once again this week we have been devastated in the nation by another mass shooting. And once again it was aimed at our children in what should be one of the safest places in America, a school. And of course, when we face these tragedies we hear of people sending out their “thoughts and prayers.”

  • Wait a minute. Why is Jesus calling this a NEW command? Haven’t we been told to love in the Old Testament? “Love your neighbor as you love yourself,” right? Isn’t Jesus just repeating this same command? What makes what he says in our Fighter Verse new?

  • What does devotion to Jesus look like? That’s the question we have been thinking about this week. In this past week’s sermon on Mark 14, we find a woman give her all to Jesus in anointing him with a costly flask of perfume. It was an extravagant and costly act of love and devotion.
